I was born and raised in Weathersfield, Vermont. Growing up in Weathersfield gave me the opportunity to explorethe woods and enjoy the peacefulness that it brings. It also gave me a chance to dream. I was always dreaming and creating something. Be it a teepee at the age of five with the biggest limbs I could pick up to lean up against a Pine tree or a picture made holding a stick and drawing in the dirt. I would sit in this teepee and think about what I wanted to do. I love art. So how could I incorporate who I am, nature and art all in one big package?
In school I took as many art classes as were allowed in a day and did as many different types of art I could get my hands on. I believe that if we live through our senses we can create. Visualize it with eyes open and then closed. Listen to it. Taste it. Touch it. Smell it. Then create it.
My family has Cherokee blood and working with the Teachings since I was very young has taught me much. I love working with the stone people as I call them. Each stone has its own energy and the creations made from them have their own story. Three years ago I started creating Jewelry with the stone people. Each piece created comes from the heart and has a story for the person who is going to wear it.
It gives me great pleasure to create something, be it a necklace, bracelet or a pair of earrings for someone and knowing that it will make them happy and put a smile on their face even if they do not understand why they picked that particular stone.
Everyone in this Universe has a gift and if I can do anything to help them realize it then I have done only a small portion of why I am here. The jewelry is just one of the ways that I can bring that about. Never say I can’t, always say I can.
