Paint the Springfield Landscape in Acrylic

Robert Carsten is offering a new workshop in acrylic. Paint the Springfield Landscape will be held at Gallery at the VAULT on Saturday, March 9 from 9:30 to 4:00. Learn to use acrylic in a fun and expressive manner to depict the skies and landscape of the ides of March.

Robert, a beloved teacher, will discuss and demonstrate composition and acrylic application. You will work small, accomplishing several landscapes. There will be a critique and discussion at the end of the class. Bring your own photos or sketches for reference.

All levels welcome. Cost is $80. members and $90. non-members. A materials list will be provided at registration. If there are more than 6 students, the workshop will be held at the Art Gym in Springfield; therefore, registration and payment are required one week prior to the workshop. Bring your own photos or sketches for reference.

Seagrass Storage Baskets & Braided Muffin Baskets

Gallery at the VAULT is pleased to offer your choice of basket making, Seagrass Storage Baskets or Braided Muffin Baskets, with Annetta Kraayeveld, esteemed artist, teacher, basket maker from Wisconsin. She is traveling via the Northeast Basketmakers Guild and will give a class at VAULT on May 9 from 10 am to 4 pm.

  Cost is $100. which includes all materials and pattern. Students should bring their regular weaving tools. A list will be provided at registration. Please register by February 28 so that Annetta can plan her schedule and get the kits sent to us before she travels.

Annetta's passion is creating functional art pieces. She has been teaching across North America since 2000 and has earned several awards, including Best of Nantucket and Viewer's Choice at the 2013 AMB convention and Best of Mold Woven at the 2015 NCBA convention.
